I have paid for the full warranty package when the car was purchased plus extended warranty package. I believe this could effect the engine cooling performance and damage the engine if not already. I have an appointment on with the dealer and I'm going to ask for a refund due to in my opinion excessive coolant problems. Because a hose was attached to it they claimed it was not covered! my invoice reads $180. 80 for what turned out to be a outlet manifold, attached to the engine (failure). Not covered under warranties due to it being a hose. Another coolant leak, outlet manifold and hose failure. This was part of a recall so the repair was made. The dealer found that the water pump seal was bad and that the coolant would drip onto the underlying pan and evaporate not leaving a trace of a leak. So we both inspected the car and could not find any leaks so elected to fill the reservoir and notified the dealer. She notified me that she needed coolant added. 1.8L L4 - Gas 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LS 1.8L L4 - Flex 2011 Chevrolet Cruze LS 1.8L L4 - Flex 2016 Chevrolet Cruze Limited L, LS 1.8L L4 - Flex, 1.8L L4 - Gas. My wife notice the coolant reservoir level had falling well below the full mark. Now two month later, the problem is present and the chevy dealership claims that it will not be covered since that recall is no longer "open" on my vehicle. They proceeded to inspect the engine cooling system, at which time it passed their inspection. When I took my vehicle to the chevy dealership for the ac, they noticed the open recall for the cooling system and recommended I have it looked at while I was there. Two months ago, my ac broke due to a rock hitting it. I was not having issues with engine cooling at the time, and I put the letter to the side. The letter told me to take my vehicle in for service if there were any issues with the engine cooling system. I received a letter in the mail from gm in 2014 about possible coolant leak. He filled up the coolant again and it is steadily leaking coolant when the car is running. A week later, my battery died, so when my husband when to jump my car, he noticed the coolant level was once again low and that there was coolant present on the engine hoses. My husband noticed the coolant level was low while changing my oil. The approximate failure mileage was 83,557. The manufacturer was not aware of the issue. The contact took the vehicle to the dealership (klik lewis located at 720 e main st, palmyra, PA 17078 phone number 71) who stated that the vehicle's tank was blown, the tank began to melt, the vehicle's hose were infused to the tank and the sensor failed. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who was unable to cause of the failure. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 mph when the vehicle's check engine light was illuminated when suddenly the vehicle was unable to accelerate and the vehicle suddenly went idle. The contact stated that after turning on their vehicle the check engine light illuminated and a message stating that the ac off due to high temperature. The thermostat that reads the engine for engine cooling. GM is currently in the process of a class action suit involving the coolant system of the 2011 Chevy Cruze.Tl- the contact owns a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze. I have since done more research to find that many more cars were affected with faulty coolant systems. Additionally, this car was recalled for this very reason but I when I call GM they informed me that only some of the cars were covered by the warranty as only certain cars assembled in certain factories were involved in the recall. I chose to find a different mechanic and do more research on why it wasn’t covered under warranty as the leak goes into the coolant of the engine which is directly related to the power-train warranty. I inquired as to why it wasn’t covered under the warranty the technician informed me that the leak was coming from the reservoir and that wasn’t covered. When the mechanics changed my oil they advised me that my coolant was leaking and they could repair it for $170.00. My scheduled maintenance time came up for my oil change and I made an appointment to get my oil changed. I started to notice a strange smell coming from the vents in the car so I started looking at my antifreeze reservoir and noticed it was low. I brought the car back to the dealership and they filled it with fluid. A few days after I my car I notice that it didn’t have any anti-freeze in the car. I purchased my 2011 Chevy Cruze in August of 2016 from Rick Mathews Buick in Brooksville, Florida.
